MATERI'ACT named Top Innovator in the Green category at the 2025 CLEPA Innovation Awards for IniCycled-P End-of-Life (ELV)
MATERI’ACT, a FORVIA Group subsidiary dedicated to sustainable materials, has been named a Top Innovator in the Green category at the 2025 CLEPA Innovation Awards for its breakthrough recycled polypropylene compound, IniCycled-P ELV[1], designed for automotive interiors.
Accelerating circularity in automotive interiors
Only 19% of automotive plastics are currently recycled. Developed with 20% ELV content, IniCycled-P ELV meets OEM standards for visible parts, offering mechanical strength, crash resistance, surface durability, and cabin air quality.
Compared to virgin grades, it achieves a 25% CO₂ reduction from cradle to gate[1]. Already in serial production with a major French OEM and validated by two other European manufacturers, IniCycled-P ELV is ready for wider industrial deployment.
Robust process for consistent quality
Produced through a closed-loop process, from bumper dismantling to advanced sorting and compounding, IniCycled-P ELV ensures stable performance despite variable recycled inputs. Odor and Volatile Organic Compounds (Voc) levels are tightly controlled to meet stringent in-cabin requirements.
A material aligned with future EU ambitions
IniCycled-P positions MATERI’ACT ahead of the curve as the EU works toward more ambitious vehicle circularity regulations.
“This CLEPA recognition underscores FORVIA’s commitment to sustainable innovation,” said Thorsten Muschal, Executive Vice President of FORVIA Interiors. “Through MATERI’ACT, our sustainable materials division, we are proving that circularity is an industrial reality reshaping automotive materials. “
