That’s exactly what our Electronics teams did with the Silver Box Infotainment.

This module, tucked behind the dashboard, connects the display and audio components.
And thus powers a vehicle’s infotainment system.

The issue?
Until now, it was made of metal — heavier, more expensive.
So our teams re-engineered it in plastic — lighter, more cost-efficient.

And thanks to rigorous mechanical design plus extensive testing and validation, it delivers the same high performance and reliability our customers expect.

The result: an innovative Silver Box now featured in several Stellantis models, including the Berlingo, Combo, and Doblo, helping the brand meet the goals of its strategic plan and its social and environmental commitments.

The CLEPA Innovation Awards recognize @MATERI'ACT for its sustainable car interior material, IniCycled-P ELV!

Today, only 19% of automotive plastics are recycled.
But material-focused policies are now pushing innovation in sustainable materials.

In Europe, the EU Directive on End-of-Life Vehicles is expected to introduce stricter requirements for circularity.
And that also means more plastics will be recovered from end-of-life vehicles and reintegrated into a closed-loop system.

Happy to supply the instrument panel and center console for the all-new Renault Clio 6, presented at the IAA Mobility in Munich this year!

Both incorporate 40% recycled plastics, supporting @Renault’s sustainability goals.
While, of course, meeting quality and safety standards.

Both highlight our expertise in surface finishing.
The textile covered trim of the instrument panel, for example, is achieved through advanced 3D modeling and robotics technologies.
Among the other decorative effects, you have a laser-grained texture molded into the surface.
As for the center console, it integrates a magnetic foldable cover allowing the cup holder area to close.

One last thing: we also manufacture and integrate the light guides within the instrument panel, ensuring uniform ambient lighting.
